I don’t consider myself to be a particularly sentimental person but sometimes items take on special significance. These pieces are the jewellery I wear all the time. The narrow ring is my wedding ring, the diamond one my engagement ring, and the wide ring is my Mom’s wedding ring. She had a new one after she’d been married for 30 years, and gave me the original ring as a keepsake. At the time she said she knew I’d always loved it and it was always going to be mine eventually, and she wanted me to have it while she was alive. That way I would wear it – she knew that if it was put away as an inheritance to be passed to me after she died I’d always have associated it with her death and it would be kept out of sight somewhere.

As it is, my Mom died far too soon after I received the ring, but by wearing it I always feel close to her.

My engagement ring was bought in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. It’s special because it was made locally and because of what it signifies. Although our engagement was planned I did not expect my husband to make it formal in quite the way he did, and that’s a story I’ll tell at some other time, perhaps when I have a photograph of the place it happened.

My wedding ring is a very traditional gold band. At a wedding I was at at the weekend, the vicar talked about the symbolism behind a wedding ring, and reminded us that the dents and scratches they come to bear represent the difficult times we sometimes have to deal with. However the circle remains unbroken and that’s its strength, and that small token can be a comfort in times that test us.

So, a moment of reflection for us. These three small items represent two of the most important people I’ve ever had in my life; three if you count my Dad who of course gave the ring to my Mom, and I am thankful every day for them.

Introducing: Secrets of Gaia Infinite Love Wedding Rings

Introducing: Secrets of Gaia Infinite Love Wedding Rings
I am releasing this evening after extensive testing my latest wedding rings. Starting with the SG Infinite Love Sets.

These beautiful rings are designed with twisted gold bands. The wedding bands have a central band that includes color change that allows you to tint it to 32 different shades of gold. These shades were carefully taken from real world colored golds. After extensive research I discovered that not only soft tints like those seen in Black HIlls Gold but also more vivid colors such as deep purple are availible.

The Ladies wedding band is attached to the engagement ring to allow both to be worn. The wedding band itself is scripted with show hide so that it can easily be hidden until your wedding and then shown at the appropriate moment.

The engagement ring has a central diamond in classic white with six side stones that are scripted with texture change offering a total of 143 side stone options includng both standard gems (such as garnet, sapphire, and emerald) as well as semi precious stones (such as bloodstone, several opal variations, and jade) as well as dichoric glass and other mixed color stones offering endless posibilities.

The rings are resize scripted to provide easier fitting and presented n a beautiful keepsake display box. Additionally this set includes a beautiful custom proposal animation and scripted box!

The rings will be in my main shop and selected other locations by the end of tonight. They are being offered in standared wedding sets as well as same sex options for both Male/Male and Female/Female sets.
